Takashi Murakami Jacket: Is It Worth the Hype in 2026?
Fourteen thousand dollars for a jacket. That's what a Murakami varsity piece just resold for, and no, that's not a museum acquisition, that's a secondhand streetwear sale. So the question in the title isn't rhetorical this year. It's genuinely worth asking whether these jackets justify what people are paying, or whether the hype has finally outrun the actual product.
